Rajasthan Destinations

Rajasthan is a traveler's paradise, particularly for those who love and appreciate heritage and culture. The culture and heritage of Rajasthan is steeped in its important destinations, i.e. cities like Jaipur, Udaipur, Jodhpur, Pushkar, Jaisalmer, Bikaner, Bharatpur, and the Shekhawati region and wildlife reserves like Ranthambore, Sariska, Mount Abu sanctuary and Bharatpur bird sanctuary.

The Shekhawati region is known as an open art gallery and all three cities of Shekhawati, namely, Sikar, Jhunjhunu and Mandawa are important destinations of Rajasthan. Forts and palaces are the major attractions at all major cities on the tourist map. These include Jaipur, Jaisalmer, Jodhpur and Udaipur.

Rajasthan destinations also include places of religious importance, viz. the Jain temples of Dilwara, situated in Mount Abu, the Brahmin and Jain temples of Ranakpur as well as the holy city of Pushkar and the Sufi saint’s Dargah at Ajmer.

Palatial heritage monuments that are now Heritage Hotels are also important travel destinations in Rajasthan. These include Khimsar, Rohet Garh, Umaid Bhawan Palace, Ajit Bhawan Palace and Devigarh, just to name a few.
